Six stages from first email to hung doors
We keep the sequence short so Glasgow clients can plan around work and travel. No stage invents paperwork you will not use on site.
01 Enquire → 02 Site measure → 03 Cut list & deposit
04 Workshop build → 05 Finish bay → 06 Hang & snag
How dimensions become labelled board nests
Mei nests panels on the CNC from the measure sheet, not from sketch apps. Each part leaves the machine with a pencil code that matches the elevation drawing you approved.
You receive the cut list as a PDF attachment from [email protected]. Changes after nesting may require a new board and a fee noted on the list.
Workshop time for a typical flat kitchen
A compact galley spends two to three weeks on the bench after timber arrives, including glue-up, edge banding, and door hanging in the workshop. Larger L-shaped runs with tall pantries stretch to four weeks when the finish bay is busy with enamel cures.
We hold a hang date only after doors are dry. Rushing wet enamel into a Merchant City close creates fingerprints that never polish out.
What happens when the van reaches your close
Callum and Aisha carry carcasses in labelled order, set them to a laser datum, and scribe fillers last. Soft-close adjustments happen after the full run is fixed so doors share a continuous reveal.
Snag items are written on a one-page sheet before we leave. Minor touch-ups return within ten working days; structural misses are rare and treated as priority.
Care notes and warranty on Glasgow installs
Hardware carries a two-year workshop warranty against manufacturing fault. Timber movement from heating is normal; we leave gap guidance so you know when a season change is expected versus a true fault.
Oil-finished pieces include a care tin. Enamel doors wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap—no abrasive pads that cut the film.
A West End wardrobe run from enquiry to finish
Week 1: measure and deposit. Weeks 2–3: carcass and drawer build. Week 4: enamel cure and hang. Total calendar time often lands near five weeks when timber stock is on the shelf.
Kitchens with worktop templates from a third party add coordination days; we share our hang window early so templating can follow carcass install.
