M-01 · FITTED RUNS

Floor-to-ceiling hang space without wasted chimney voids

Glasgow bedrooms often waste the recess beside a chimney breast on freestanding wardrobes that leave dust gaps. We fill the full height with carcass modules, then scribe the outer uprights so no shadow line shows against crooked plaster.

Internal layouts mix double hang, single hang with drawers, and a shallow shelf stack for folded knitwear that would otherwise live in under-bed boxes.

Wardrobe carcass defaults from the Buchanan Street bench

Door styles and finishes change with the brief; carcass geometry stays within these envelopes so hanging rails clear door swings in narrow rooms.

M-03 · DOORS

Sliding versus hinged fronts in tight bedrooms

Hinged doors need clear floor for a full swing; many Partick rooms cannot spare that. Sliding tracks sit inside the carcass so the bed can stay closer to the wardrobe face without colliding with a door edge.

When hinged doors are preferred we reduce leaf width and use soft-close to stop slamming in shared flats. Mirrored faces are available on request but we warn about condensation near external walls.

M-04 · DRAWERS

Drawer packs that replace plastic under-bed storage

Three-drawer packs in the lower third of a module keep socks and shirts off the floor. Soft-close runners are rated for daily use; we avoid cheap roller systems that fail after a winter of heavy jumpers.

Interior faces stay unfinished ply or receive a light lacquer so clothing does not pick up solvent smell after hang day.

M-05 · COST

GBP ranges for bedroom wardrobe runs

A two-module run with hinged doors and one drawer pack usually costs £1,850–£3,200 installed. Full-wall compositions with sliding fronts and top boxes sit between £3,600 and £6,800 depending on door material and ceiling height.

Measure visits for bedrooms alone are £180; combined kitchen-and-wardrobe surveys are listed on site-measure.html.
