Site painting in occupied flats leaves dust on wet film and smells that linger in shared closes. We spray enamel and lacquer in a filtered bay so doors arrive dry, then limit site work to touch-ups on scribe lines.
Tomás runs the bay on a batch schedule: light colours in the morning, darker tones after lunch, so overspray does not tint the next rack.
Finish systems matched to substrate and room use
Choose the system that fits how the piece will be cleaned. Kitchen doors favour hard enamel; bedroom oak faces favour oil that can be refreshed without stripping.

North-facing West End rooms make cool greys look blue. We hand out physical chips rather than screen swatches so you can tape them beside your window and judge evening light from a desk lamp.
Custom mixes are possible within our enamel range; metallic and high-gloss automotive systems are outside our kit and we will say so rather than chase a finish we cannot warranty.
How finishes behave with Clyde damp and heating cycles
Moisture-resistant primers sit under enamel on MDF doors that face steam from kettles. Oil on oak needs a yearly wipe in kitchens; we leave a 100 ml tin of the batch oil with the client for that purpose.
We do not wrap doors in vinyl film. If a rental landlord needs wipe-clean surfaces, enamel remains the more repairable choice when a corner chips.
Finish pricing added to carcass fees
Spray enamel is typically £48–£72 per square metre of door face. Clear lacquer sits near £42–£58/m². Hardwax oil on solid timber is £38–£55/m² including denibbing between coats.
